What is CBD?
Our Cutting-Edge Extraction Technologies
The Science Behind Our Broad Spectrum CBD Oils
The CBD in our Oils is extracted from BioSuisse certified hemp using a CO2 extraction method followed by flash chromatography to remove the THC and reach a broad spectrum extract.
1. CO2 Extraction
Carbon Dioxide Extraction is a separation technique that uses CO2 under its supercritical form. Supercritical CO2 is a fluid state where carbon dioxide is held above its critical temperature and critical pressure (31 C° and 72.8 atm).
Under these conditions, CO2 acts as a liquid and a gas at the same time. It can reach into small spaces like a gas, but can also dissolve and act like a liquid solvent. It is a method that allows the production of pure, clean, and safe products.

2. Flash Chromatography
CO2 extraction yields a full spectrum hemp extract which contains all the chemical components of the hemp plant such as cannabinoids (CBD, THC, CBG, etc…), terpenes and flavonoids. In order to reach a broad spectrum extract, flash chromatography is applied to remove the THC.
This process is an advanced filtering technique that allows us to select the molecules that we want to remove without damaging the ones that we want to keep.

Frequent Questions
How to use CBD oils?
The oils are versatile, they can either be used in the mouth (under the tongue), on the face and/or body. Please refer to the “recommended use” of each product to make sure they are used properly.
Are there side-effects to using CBD Oils?
We have not observed any side effects and not received any from our customers, but please consult the ingredient list (INCI) before purchasing to make sure you are not allergic to any ingredients. We recommend to run a “patch test” before the first application (behind your ears for a face application and on your wrist for a body application).

Is CBD oil addictive?
CBD oils are not addictive. World Health Organisation (WHO) establish that CBD has a good safety profile and human studies have reported no signs of physical dependence (eg. withdrawal, tolerance) from its use.
Do your CBD oils require special storage conditions?
We do recommend storing our oils at room temperature, to avoid high heat conditions (in the car during summer) which could fasten the degradation of our CBD.
Is it safe to take your CBD oils and drive?
Yes, it is generally considered safe to consume CBD oil and drive. CBD does not have any negative effect on a person’s ability to drive safely. On the other hand, THC is psychoactive (mind-altering) and affects areas of the brain that control the body’s movements, balance, coordination, memory, and judgment... Hence it is considered dangerous to drive under the influence of THC.
What is the difference between hemp oil and CBD oil?
Hemp oil is the short version of hemp seed oil, it is a vegetable oil extracted from the seeds of the hemp plant. It does not contain CBD hence does not have the same properties as a CBD oil. A hemp seed oil is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids and particularly in omega-3 fatty acids.
Can your CBD oils be detected in a drug test?
Drug tests do not test for CBD, the tests are meant to detect THC and the degradation components of THC. Our CBD oils contain undetectable levels of THC which won’t be detected during a drug test.
How long does it take for your CBD oils to have an effect?
There is no “one-fits-all” answer, it depends on your metabolism and how you consumed the product (did you leave it long enough under the tongue?). As a general rule, we tend to say it can take as little as 20 min and as much as 1 hr.
